We’re looking for a few winter/spring 2019 interns who are passionate about storytelling and digital journalism, and who are excited to learn about and participate in every aspect of the editorial and publishing process. Candidates should be motivated, detail oriented, and good at multitasking without a supervisor’s reminder about each task.
Responsibilities include: Reading and evaluating submissions, fact checking, laying stories out in CMS, strategizing for how best to promote each story, writing and scheduling social posts, writing newsletters and more. Interns are also encouraged to pitch and write their own stories.
Internships are unpaid, but can be for college or grad school credit. They are part-time (~20 hours a week), mostly remote. We prefer local candidates who are able to come in to our office in Brooklyn for meetings, but are open to candidates who are not based in NYC if you are a self-starter who is adept at working independently.
To apply, send your resume and a few paragraphs about you and why you’re interested in Narratively to email@example.com by November 20, 2018.
