Narratively is Hiring a Business Development Manager!

Narratively, the award-winning digital media company dedicated to ordinary people with extraordinary stories, is looking for a meticulous, numbers-obsessed and visionary business development manager to join our rapidly growing Brooklyn-based team.

Our business development manager will serve as the right-hand to Narratively’s founder/CEO/editor-in-chief, identifying, analyzing and executing new opportunities and strategies for scaling and monetizing Narratively’s unique brand of high-quality, ultra-engaging, authentic storytelling. This role will be responsible for driving growth across all divisions of our interconnected media business — including advertising, content licensing, partnerships, and bold, new ideas tailor-made for our storytelling platform, podcasts, branded content studio and TV/film initiatives.

Candidates should be highly detail-oriented and have an undergraduate or graduate degree in business and/or at least 1 year of experience in a business development role. This full-time position is located in Brooklyn, New York, and offers flexibility for part-time remote work along with a competitive salary and health benefits.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Identifying, analyzing and pursuing revenue opportunities across all divisions of Narratively (our storytelling platform, podcasts, branded content studio and TV/film division)
  • Executing our CEO’s vision for growing the Narratively brand and supporting him during meetings and pitches
  • Ensuring that all opportunities adhere to Narratively’s core mission of creating and distributing high-quality, purpose-driven content
  • Implementing and maintaining systems for tracking business development opportunities and progress
  • Maintaining Narratively’s financial model and projections
  • Handling operations tasks as needed (interfacing with legal for contracts, coordinating invoices with our bookkeeper, etc.)
