Narratively, the digital media company focused on untold human stories, is hiring a marketing and audience engagement manager to expand the reach and impact of our award-winning Narratively.com storytelling, our forthcoming podcasts, and other exciting projects. The manager will create, develop and execute strategies to engage audiences across newsletters, social media and all other relevant platforms.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about storytelling, journalism, and digital media, and equally excited to reach readers on the platforms where they engage most. Are you always telling your friends about the latest and greatest online publications and podcasts? Do you subscribe to so many email newsletters that you need an inbox intervention? Are you on Twitter so often that you sound like you’re Tweeting when you talk out loud?
If that all sounds familiar and exciting, then this role might be for you. The successful candidate will be a person who is at home in online media and overflowing with ideas for how to reach and impact audiences across the web and beyond.
Primary responsibilities include:
Successful applicants will have 1-2 years experience at a digital media outlet, PR agency, or in a social media role, but the most important qualification is a drive to engage readers, execute new ideas, and generate results.
This is a full-time position for a 6-month contract to start, with the possibility of expanding to a long-term role after that period. The manager will work with our team from our Brooklyn office (with flexibility to work remotely a couple of days a week).
